Michael A. Lawlor, Jr.

Biography

Michael A. Lawlor Jr. practices in the areas of estate planning, municipal, corporate, and landlord-tenant law, with an emphasis on the intersections of these legal areas with agriculture and rural practice. He represents a broad array of rural municipalities, USDA Rural Development subsidized housing providers, small family businesses, and multimillion-dollar corporations.
Michael previously worked in Chicago at the Center for Disability and Elder Law, providing legal representation for low-income seniors and people with disabilities. After graduating from law school, he was named a fellow of the ISBA Rural Practice Initiative and worked in Macomb, Illinois, at a firm focused on agricultural real estate transactions.
Michael earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, with a certificate and concentration in health care law. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
