Tuesday October 1, 2024 (St. Louis, Missouri) – Lashly & Baer, P.C. announces that Shane A. Chapman has joined the Firm as a Shareholder in its litigation and health care practice groups. “We are thrilled that Shane will be joining us,” President Lisa O. Stump said in a statement. “Shane fits well with our growing health care practice, and we believe that he will be a tremendous asset to the Firm.” Mr. Chapman currently defends health care providers in professional liability actions in Missouri and Illinois. He has also defended asbestos matters, legal malpractice, and construction accidents.
“Shane brings great experience in defending lawsuits in Illinois,” said Stuart J. Vogelsmeier, Executive Vice President, who leads the Firm’s health care practice. “Although we’ve always represented health care providers in Southern Illinois, we have identified that region as a growth area for the firm.”

Mr. Chapman graduated from Westminster College in 2011, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, and he received his Juris Doctorate degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2014. Mr. Chapman has been practicing at Brown & James since 2014 where he had been a Principal.
