Biography
Cierra L. Gold focuses her practice primarily on the representation of governmental and public institutions, with a particular emphasis on municipal law, governmental operations, and regulatory compliance. She advises public entities on a variety of legal matters, including ordinance enforcement, governmental procedures, and compliance with state and local laws. Her practice includes conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and legal memoranda, and assisting clients in navigating complex regulatory and operational issues.
Prior to joining Lashly & Baer, Cierra served as an Assistant County Counselor with the St. Louis County Counselor’s Office, where she prosecuted county and municipal ordinance violations, managed a high-volume court docket, negotiated resolutions, and represented the County in bench trials and compliance hearings. Her experience also includes serving as a legal intern with the Missouri Department of Revenue’s General Counsel’s Office, where she supported litigation and transactional matters involving motor vehicle registration, driver’s licensing, transportation regulations, contract disputes, regulatory compliance, and tax enforcement. Additionally, she gained experience assisting small businesses with copyright, trademark, leasing, and other business-related legal issues through Legal Services of Eastern Missouri’s Community Economic Development Program.
Cierra earned her Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she received the Dean’s Scholarship and earned certification in Legal Technology from the National Society for Legal Technology. While in law school, she served as Secretary of the Federalist Society and was an active member of the Health Law Association, Women’s Law Student Association, and First Generation Society. She also completed a judicial internship with the Honorable Judge Fowler of Missouri’s 22nd Judicial Circuit, further strengthening her legal research, writing, and courtroom experience. She received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Central Missouri, with minors in Business Administration and Communications.
