Member Joins Lashly & Baer, P.C.; Firm Expands Tax
& Estate Planning Practice

November 1, 2000 - St. Louis attorney Carl
M. Markus joins the law firm of Lashly &
Baer, P.C., effective November 1, 2000.
Mr.
Markus, also a certified public accountant, concentrates
his practice in the areas of civil taxation and estate
planning, as well as general corporate and business law.
He brings fourteen years of legal experience to the
firm, most recently as a principal with the Belleville,
Illinois firm of Mathis, Marifian, Richter & Grandy,
Ltd. He served two and one-half years as In-house
Counsel with Zielinski & Associates, P.C. and was an
Associate Attorney with the Clayton firm Green, Hoffman
& Dankenbring (now Dankenbring, Greiman &
Osterholt, LLP). Prior to joining Green, Hoffman &
Dankenbring, he was a manager in the Tax Department of
Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young).

views Mr. Markus's move as a positive step in the growth

Mr.
Markus earned his J.D. from St. Louis University School
of Law in 1985. He also has a B.S. in Accounting and a
Master's in Finance from St. Louis University.
