Former
Evans & Dixon Managing Partner Finds New Home at
Lashly & Baer, P.C.
Friday,
September 22, 2000 - Stefan
J. Glynias, former Managing Partner of the law
firm of Evans & Dixon, LLC, has announced that he
will join the downtown firm of Lashly & Baer, P.C.,
effective September 21, 2000.
A
graduate of the University of California's Hastings
College of Law, Mr. Glynias brings to the firm nearly 30
years of experience in civil litigation. He practices in
the areas of commercial and tort litigation, including
complex litigation involving contracts, employment
relations, business torts, governmental and
environmental liability, and intellectual property
disputes. He also represents Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. for
essentially the eastern half of Missouri in commercial,
premises liability, products liability, malicious
prosecution, false arrest/imprisonment, and construction
litigation.
Mr.
Glynias, who was pursued by many area firms, stated that
he chose to join Lashly & Baer because he saw that
the firm has "uniquely structured itself to provide
high-quality service to current clients and the future
marketplace for legal service."
While
he says he has enjoyed his advocacy in a wide variety of
litigation, Mr. Glynias sees this move as an opportunity
to expand his practice further into client services such
as consulting to assist clients in avoiding litigation.
He believes in addressing clients' needs to prevent
litigation and helping them resolve issues in the best
way to conserve their financial and human resources.
"Business clients need to stay focused on their
businesses and minimize the diversion of capital and
personnel to collateral matters such as the resolution
of disputes. My experience gives me the knowledge to
assist clients in avoiding the courtroom, while at the
same time being capable of aggressively representing
them if disputes must be decided by the court."
Founded
in 1912, Lashly & Baer, P.C. is a 35 attorney firm
with a long-standing reputation for providing
sophisticated legal representation to individuals,
businesses and nonprofit organizations in the St. Louis
area.
