Biography

Kenneth C. Brostron is in his 45th year of trial work. He defends health care providers and attorneys in professional negligence claims. He counsels businesses and government agencies in all aspects of their operations. He is also well-known for his work in education law, as well as state and United States constitutional matters.

Mr. Brostron has been chief negotiator in labor discussions and lead counsel in a wide variety of complex litigation. His clients rely on his negotiation skills including his mediation training, to avoid litigation and on his trial experience to defend against a wide variety of claims including employment, professional negligence, product liability, and claims against client conduct involving fiduciary obligations as officers and directors.

He has tried countless jury trials to verdict as well as representing his clients in judge tried cases, appeals and before administrative panels.  Many of these matters have involved high risk and significant exposure to his clients. He was counsel to the Board of Education for the City of St. Louis for over 25 years. During that time he was lead counsel in the St. Louis Desegregation Case which generated billions of dollars for services to provide area children with educational opportunities for decades. In addition, Ken advocated and received court orders that generated millions of dollars for capital improvements of City schools as well as funding for many new school buildings.
