Kenneth C. Brostron

 
 

Kenneth C. Brostron has more than 35 years of trial work. He defends health care providers and attorneys in professional negligence claims. He counsels businesses and government agencies in all aspects of their operations including disputes involving intellectual property and technology. He is also well-known for his work in education law, as well as state and United States constitutional matters.

Mr. Brostron has been chief negotiator in labor discussions and lead counsel in a wide variety of complex litigation. He has significant experience involving employment practices and general liability issues. His clients rely on his negotiation skills including his mediation training, to avoid litigation and on his trial experience to defend against a wide variety of claims including claims for errors and omissions, claims for professional negligence, claims involving medical products, and claims against client conduct involving fiduciary obligations as officers and directors.

He has tried well over 150 jury trials to verdict including many trials involving high risk and significant exposure to his clients. He was counsel to the Board of Education for the City of St. Louis for over 25 years. During that time he was lead counsel in the St. Louis Desegregation Case which generated billions of dollars for services to provide area children with educational opportunities for decades. In addition, Ken advocated and received court orders that generated millions of dollars for capital improvements of City schools as well as many new school buildings.

Ken is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has also been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2010 in the fields of Medical Malpractice Law and Personal Injury Litigation (Copyright 2009 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.) for more than 10 straight years and was selected for inclusion in Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers each year since 2005 including the Top 50 St. Louis Lawyers and Top 100 Missouri and Kansas Lawyers in 2006 and 2007. He earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.
