Matthew J. Eddy has been practicing for 15 years and has concentrated in various areas of civil litigation including wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, toxic torts, and general negligence. Most recently, he has prepared and successfully tried civil cases in the areas of medical negligence, nursing home negligence, and insurance defense as well as having defended licensees in professional licensure disciplinary proceedings. Mr. Eddy has also litigated cases on behalf of commercial general liability insurers involving claims for coverage, breach of contract, bad faith and contribution. His past accomplishments include successful representation of product manufacturers, retailers, and owners in product liability actions involving consumer products, industrial machinery, medical devices, asbestos, welding rod fumes, and herbicides. Mr. Eddy has also successfully represented commercial and residential property owners, general/subcontractors, trucking/moving and storage companies, and individuals in premises liability, construction, automobile, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death actions.
