counsel individuals on personal matters and estate
planning; and represent private employers and major
governmental agencies in labor and employment matters.
Our diverse clients reflect the broad range of legal
services we offer. Lashly & Baer, P.C. serves as counsel to
service, manufacturing and commercial corporations and
other business enterprises, health care providers,
school districts, public transportation agencies,
governmental agencies, bank holding companies and other
financial institutions, community organizations,
partnerships, estates and trusts. The Firm represents
insurance carriers in professional malpractice
litigation and in coverage questions and represents
fidelity and surety carriers and excess and surplus
lines carriers. We serve as regional counsel for a major
automobile manufacturer and have been involved in
significant business litigation, including antitrust,
trade regulation, construction, product liability,
securities, and labor and employment matters.
As the Firm has grown, we have been requested to serve
our clients on a regional and national basis. As a
consequence, more than half of our attorneys are
licensed in Illinois and some are licensed to practice
in Arkansas, California, Florida, Kansas, Minnesota, New York,
Texas, and Wisconsin, as well as being admitted to
practice before the United States Supreme Court, the
United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Fifth, Seventh,
Eighth and Tenth Judicial Circuits, the United States
Tax Court, New York Court of Appeals, United States
Court of Federal Claims, and the United States District Courts for the
Eastern District of Missouri, the Western District of
Missouri, the Southern
District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois, the Eastern District

Legacy of Achievement and Excellence...
The
Firm was founded by Jacob M. Lashly, one of Missouri's
outstanding trial lawyers and a President of the
American Bar Association. Another aspect of our legacy
is the commitment to the communities in which we live
and work. This public service tradition was evidenced by
Mr. Lashly's active role in significant civic,
charitable and community organizations as well as
Missouri politics. This tradition continues as each
lawyer contributes according to individual talents, time
and interests. Former members of the Firm
have served as a member of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives,
on the United States District Court of the Eastern
District of Missouri; the Missouri Court of Appeals,
Eastern Division; and the Circuit Court of the State of
Missouri. A number of the
Firm's current lawyers have held high-level appointive
